Your unconscious mind contains everything outside your immediate conscious awareness. It controls your automatic bodily systems and functions, stress response,
metabolism and much more. Your unconcious also runs your automatic behaviors, coping mechanisms and habits, as well as your past learning’s, memories and latent abilities.
Hypnosis can be described as a mindful mental state of focused attention that we might inadvertently experience when doing a mundane activity such as
driving, gardening, exercising or even walking. Our unconscious mind takes over the activity at hand, while our conscious awareness drifts in to thinking on a given thought, idea, memory or plan. In
this natural ‘trance’ like state we are at our most relaxed, preductive and inspired.
Hypnotherapy is a means where you can be guided to utilise this productive state of mind to achieve a desired goal or objective, to retrain automatic reactions and
habits or override unwanted thoughts and feelings.
